About TASWIRA

Our mission is to empower indigenous women’s competition in the global economy and closing opportunity gaps that exist internationally. By creating and sourcing Modern African Art & Design, we are able to donate a percentage to a Women’s Empowerment Center and School of Design we are actively developing in Mombasa, Kenya. This center hosts a collective of women in the Bamburi community who need additional support overcoming personal, systemic and financial barriers within their small businesses.

Preserving, maintaining, connecting, and building communities of the African Diaspora. Empowering the community that embodies the culture. Teaching the history, creating programs for success, connecting community to opportunities, and building a vision for the future.
